I posted for this topic (version 1 & 2 of Rickenbacker's Amps) under the Rickenbacker (guitar) area - so check that. I once thought that Ro-Pat-In would have to have been the first to produce an amplifier specifically for guitar, but the case has been made proving (through period publication) that Vivi-Tone was at it in 1932 as well (that's prior to their incorporation). I don't believe a Vivi-tone "Andgrandizer" amp that early has ever been found. The National Music Museum in Vermillion, SD has some great examples of Vivi-Tones in their collection.
